Kim Gerding
Tired of experiencing continual back pain, Kimberly sought help by attending her first hot yoga class in 2005, and instantly fell in love. While she recognized the relief from pain as well as increased conditioning and flexibility, she came to appreciate the transformational internal benefits that yoga offered. In the Spring of 2019, Kimberly enrolled in Yoga Tribe's 200 Hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training. Her sole goal in participating was to dive deeper into the world of yoga and somewhere along the way, a desire was sparked to teach. In May of 2019, Kimberly received her RYT 200 certification through Yoga Alliance. She subsequently completed the 4-week Hot Yoga Mentorship program offered at Yoga Tribe. Her goal in teaching is simply to spread the joy and healing benefits of yoga to others, and to make sure that each student leaves her classes feeling a little better physically and mentally than when starting out. Kimberly earned a Bachelor’s degree from U.C. Santa Barbara in Psychology. She left a career as a Senior Account Executive with a major fashion company in 2009 to spend time at home raising her son, along with her husband, whom she met at UCSB and married in 2001. When Kimberly is not sweating it out at the studio, she can be found enjoying two of her other favorite activities: drinking coffee and hanging out with her family and friends.
