Mallory Lundkvist
At twenty years old, Mallory tried her first Bikram Yoga class as part of a free promotion directed at college students in New York City. It was the hardest workout she had ever done and she had never felt better in her life afterwards. She was hooked.
Mallory grew up in Huntington Beach, California, and remains a proud local. Her first class at Yoga Tribe was in 2006, on a visit home during a school break. The hot room floor was carpeted and the room was jam packed. She was grateful to have such an awesome place to practice just down the street from her childhood home.
Life took Mallory to different places in the world.
In 2009, she graduated with a BA in Music Theory from Hunter College in NYC. That same year, she married a Swede and they spent some years living together in Sweden, where their two sons (Lazer and Samson) were born. They moved to Huntington for a while and then eventually to Salt Lake City, Utah, where Mallory found a Bikram studio that brought the practice back into her life, full throttle. During this time, Mallory had the privilege of being a mainly stay-at-home mom, while taking on some elementary school teacher/aide positions that supported that luxury.
In 2021, the Lundkvist family finally made their way back to HB, unable to live any longer without the ocean. They ended up, more or less, where it all started for Mallory…. down the street from Yoga Tribe.
She joined the Tribe once more and has been actively practicing ever since. Mallory feels blessed to be a part of a community where everybody knows your name, and where the sweat is intense, challenging and so fulfilling.
Mallory is Yoga Tribe’s Studio Assistant - ready and willing to serve the yoga community and make your experience at our Studio one that you will want to KEEP. COMING. BACK. TO.
Hot Yoga at Yoga Tribe keeps her sane and healthy and she is certain it can do the same for most anyone.
